The Walbeernery's New Fire!

Tuesday night marked the inaugural voyage or Walbeern's new Blichman TopTier floor burner. In hindsight I should have timed how long to boil up the 6 gallons of water I had in  my brewpot, because I swear that it cut my boil time by about 4x!

This batch is Walbeern "5", a saison that should be ready in about 7 weeks. It will be interesting to see if the burner and the new immersion chiller I used will make a difference in the final product. Also of note, "5" will be the last extract-based brew that Walbeern produces, as I've recently assembled all of the gear I need to put together my first all-grain setup. I still need to put it together, but that should be happening over the next couple of weeks.
